I thought I’d change this week’s post a little bit and give a quick update on life. Things are busy at the moment. I’m in the process of buying a home and finding a job. The last few weeks have been filled with house hunting, as well as applying jobs and preparing for interviews.
My recent writing on personal finance and making well-informed decisions has made me realize that it would be great to better align how I earn a living with what I enjoy doing. To that end, I’ve decided to target analyst roles in finance and operations, which would allow me to keep stress down, continue to build skills I care about, and perhaps most importantly, write about how those skills translate to regular, real life.
It’s a pretty far step away from the management roles I’ve had to date, but I think the fit is far better for the season of life in which I currently find myself.
The next few months are likely going to see a move from Chattanooga to Birmingham, and my reentry into the workforce, so you know… never a dull moment. Thanks for being a reader and subscribing to future posts. Your support means the world to me.
